Visiting artist Jenny Fine will give a lecture at noon on Friday, Sept. 12, in room 202 of the Art Building. Fine’s installation “Flat Granny and Me: A Procession in My Mind” is on view through Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Sculpture Center in Cleveland.
“Engaging a cross-disciplinary practice, incorporating both contemporary and historical photographic processes, moving image, installation, performance and storytelling, I create images and environments inspired by my rural southern landscape and my family’s stories,” writes Fine on her website. Originally from Enterprise, Ala., she received her B.F.A. from the University of Alabama and her M.F.A. from the Ohio State University.
