“My Crummy Valentine” at Cyrus Gallery

Translations Pop-Up Gallery is super excited to be kicking off a new partnership with Canton’s premiere framing shop this month, beginning with a Valentine’s Day-themed exhibit you won’t want to miss. We invited artists from around Stark County and the nation to participate, giving each of them a plain white bag and a pink piece of construction paper. As they did when they were kids in elementary school, the artists have been asked to create a homemade Valentine’s Day card and a bag to collect cards from their secret admirers. These cards and receptacles will be on display in a classroom-like installation, just waiting for you to come by and spread some love. In addition to the artwork on display, you’ll also have a chance to create you own crummy valentines and share them with the public.  Translations and Cyrus are excited to announce a partnership with Jess Kinsinger and Sassyfrass, who will be creating handmade jewelry themed after each one of our exhibits this year, so don’t miss an opportunity to check it out!

The exhibit opened on Friday at Cyrus Custom Framing – 2645 Cleveland Ave NW, Canton, OH 44709. The exhibit hangs through March 28, 2015. Cyrus is open from 10-6, Mondays through Fridays, and 11-3 on Sundays.

A great chance to get some LOVE-ly art at some fantastic price points!
