Please join artist, writer, and activist Gregory Sholette who will present his ongoing research into the collective, politicized history of contemporary art including such little known groups as REPOhistory, and Political Art Documentation/Distribution. He will also discuss the traveling exhibitions Imaginary Archive and It’s the Political Economy, Stupid, his Social Practice initiative at Queens College, City University of New York, as well as his activist work with Gulf Labor Coalition, which has just been invited to participate in the upcoming Venice Biennale organized by curator Okwui Enwezor.
